Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist competing at flyweight of UFC. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sports journey by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimity. Antonina followed it up with a silver-medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's formidable strike abilities enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract following this win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC in The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina returned to the ring after losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts, winning over Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee.
