Baker along with his father and their aunt moved between Denver and moved to Denver. Other kids in the area were bullies Baker because he was poor. As a sixth-grader, he began listening to rap. Colson Baker, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, was born in Texas on April 22, 1990. With his music, he is well known for blending hip-hop trends of the present and rock. Baker had released four mixtapes in 2007 through 2010 before signing with Bad Boy Records. The Cleveland rapper, who delivers the lyrics with as much speed as a bullet-train, experienced a meteoric climb in late 2011 when he switched from self-publishing mixtapes to working with respected labels. The profile of the Cleveland rapper rocketed when he released his first mixtape in late 2011.
